Deb Holton‐Smith ‘73 was excited to share the publication of My Journey: Share Your Keepsake Stories (with co‐author Jan Martin). Deb wrote “(this is) a guided journal designed to start conversations with seniors, who have so many treasured stories to share. The format provides prompting questions and beautiful images on topics sure to help families, friends, and caregivers chat about their personal history. Folks can either write about themselves to pass on as a legacy book, or use it as a fun conversation piece while spending time over tea with those they love. Mount Equinox is on the cover and the inside is full of ‘my own photography’ of Manchester and includes a picture of the Burr & Burton belltower, as well as other precious local spots. The Northshire Bookstore carries our book!”

Melissa Klick ‘76 wrote in a Facebook story, “The nationally known Equinox Valley Lilac was discovered through the knowledge, wisdom and yes, love of Roger Pruess. It is the most incredible and astounding horticulture journey of one man, one plant, one family, one nursery, and one town. A journey which now lets all of us have this incredibly fragrant lilac in our own backyard. In memoriam of Roger, Equinox Valley Nursery held their first annual lilac festival, aptly named Lilacs & Love Letters on May 15, 16, 30

and Route 30 in Dorset, VT. The Sheldons grew up in the house, which now is home to seasonal vegetables, local cheese, honey and syrup, and the porches and greenhouses display wonderful annuals, perennials and herbs. In the winter season, the Sheldons offer family‐made wreaths, kissing balls, and trees for holiday decorating. PHOTO and 17th. As the real Miss Icy was born in a sugar house in 1824 on the nursery’s property (I had the pleasure of being personally taken to the site by Roger), we are so honored to be designing their new exclusive signature candle. But the interweaving of this talented town of extraordinary people doesn’t stop here. Well‐known Vermont watercolorist, Gloria Palmer ‘81, has exquisitely created the most lyrical and evocative art work for this exciting event. One Man, One Lilac, and so much Love.”
