Post-Bachelor’s Accelerated Certification to Teach (PACT)

You may be one year away from letting your light shine in your own classroom! Principals all over Michigan are looking for exceptional teachers. Will you be one of them?

Transition your career into teaching

SAU’s Post-Bachelor’s Accelerated Certification to Teach (PACT) is a non-degree initial teaching certification program designed to certify individuals with a bachelor’s degree who wish to obtain a standard teaching certificate in elementary education in the State of Michigan.

Earn your teaching certificate in accelerated fashion

As a student in the PACT program, you will learn lesson and unit planning, current trends in education, integration of technology into instruction, teaching science, math, reading, language arts, and social studies, and effective classroom management, assessment and instruction. You will also complete two internship blocks in your own classroom or someone else’s classroom with a mentor teacher and a university supervisor to provide the necessary coaching, mentorship, and support. SAU’s dynamic education programming and faculty will position graduates to achieve an initial elementary teaching certificate upon completion.
