About Folds of Honor
Since 2007, the Folds of Honor has carried forth this singular noble mission. To provide educational scholarships to spouses and children of America's fallen and disabled service-members. This year is the 13th anniversary supporting the Folds of Honor mission.
What is the significance of 13? There are 13 folds in the flag that bring it to its final resting place during a flag-folding ceremony. Help us honor those that paid the ultimate sacrifice. Honor Their Sacrifice. Educate Their Legacy.
What: #FOHChicagoRUNS Virtual Run/Walk
Who: You! Folds of Honor wants to give everyone the opportunity to participate in this event. Support the Folds of Honor mission by registering for the #FOHChicagoRUNS Virtual Run/Walk. You can participate as an individual, as a family, or with a group of friends!
Where: Anywhere! You can run on the treadmill, walk in your neighborhood, or stroll with friends on a local favorite trail. This is not a race - everyone can participate!
When: Anytime between November 1st - November 13th. Throw on your Folds of Honor gear and support the mission!
Why: Celebrate...The 13th anniversary of Folds of Honor.
Honor...The 13 folds in the flag that bring it to its final resting place.
Support...The 112 Illinois Folds of Honor scholarship recipients.
Give...To the 2,500 qualified yet unfunded national FOH scholarship applicants.
How: You can run/walk any distance. One mile, 5K, 10K, half marathon, or marathon. All distances and skill levels are welcome and absolutely no times to report! Run/walk for the love of Folds of Honor! Help celebrate Folds of Honor and the 13th anniversary by posting a picture to your social media by November 13th with the hashtag #FOHChicagoRUNS, then one lucky winner will be chosen to receive a special gift from the Chicago Chapter.
